We started off as usual with a chest xray, which she is never a fan of. But she gets through it pretty quickly, and then we're moving on down the hall from outpatient radiology to the surgery clinic. Dr. S.P. was so surprised at how much she's grown, and said she looks great. Her xray was unchanged from her last one, and everything has been going well, so we don't have to go back for another xray and follow-up for 1 year. Yay!
Dr. S.P. also looked at her pectus, which is getting progressively worse and will continue to do so. He said hers is more prominent than most at her age, so it looks like she is definitely heading for a pectus repair when she's around 12 years old. We have discussed that at previous appointments, so no surprise there.
It was a pretty quick trip to Children's Mercy. We hardly waited any time at all in radiology or the surgery clinic, so we grabbed some biscuits and gravy at the cafe in between our two stops, and went by the train to check it out, but it was still out of commission. (We knew you'd be wondering, Theo!)

So happy to hear that she is doing so well!! :)
that's great news! WTG Sofie!
I hope we have good news to share after our CDH clinic day this Thursday.
Yea, Sofie! That's great news! Good for you!
So glad that Sofie's appointment went so well! You are lucky you didn't have to wait long in radiology. We usually do and it never fails that there's at least one kid coughing, and we wait in the hall with Theo.
I think I'm going to have to give them a call to tell them to get that train fixed before our surgery follow up appt on Thursday. I may have to have Travis bring his tools and fix it ourselves after all! Theo is going to be really sad if it's not fixed. Thanks for updating us on that. I just started laughing!!
Great news Sofie! Jack said to tell you not to sweat the pectus. All the cool kids have 'em!
