OB Appointment Today

34 5/7 weeeks - First let me say, we have been so overwhelmed (in a good way) by all the support we have received from everyone! We've gotten so many emails sending thoughts and prayers and it really means a lot to know you all are thinking of us. We had an appointment with our OB today, but had a scheduling conflict, so I actually saw one of the midwives instead. I've been having contractions on and off since around 20 weeks or a little before, but didn't think much of it. Lately they have gotten more regular, so I asked her to check to make sure I wasn't dilating any, because we definitely don't want to deliver preterm. Unfortunately I am already dilated to 3-4cm/90% effaced/and -1 station. At this point in the pregnancy I really shouldn't be dilated or effaced much at all, so that was not good news. So now I am on bedrest and trying to make it to at least 37 weeks. We have another appointment tomorrow morning with the perinatologist, so I will try to update after that with any new info.
